There was so much food left over from Monday night's extravaganza that I decided to use up the left overs Tuesday night. I have to admit it was just as yummy the next night as it was the first and I still have more lamb left and I'm certainly not complaining!
Unfortunately when doing the girls breakfast this morning I ripped the tops of a couple of bananas, that meant they had to be used up today, oh what a shame, so dessert consisted of bananas foster, and yes I did flame them:) I as a little lax as we had burgers with grilled cauliflower and I was going to add a guacamole, the last item there ending up on the table after we had finished eating the burgers oops. Ah well it was still good. My own recipe and I don't know the quantities :) Oh if anyone wants links to the recipes I used on Monday night let me know, I have to admit the tagine chicken was really good along with it's corresponding couscous recipe. The lamb doesn't really have a recipe as such but I have a link for that and the harrisa as well. Lets just say the harrisa was good enough for my husband to say I'll make that again if you give me the recipe.
Tomorrow night I get to christen the iron skillet and I'm looking forward to it :) I admit I have strayed from RR the last couple few days so I'm returning to her tomorrow night.

I haven't "checked" up on you in a couple of days, and I must say, I like the new background. Really suits your personality.
Pretty terrific you're meeting all these other mothers in the neighborhood. It may now seem a bit more like "home."
I read where you got yourself a cast iron pot. Once it's well seasoned, just remember never wash it with soap! I have a special wire brush that I use on my fry pan, and griddle. I'm assuming Matt doesn't have one for his kitchen? I know for certain his brother doesn't. I grew up with family always cooking with cast iron. I just love to bake in the fry pan also (makes great corn bread). Now, new recipes just for cast iron?
You know I always felt like Livermore was home I hated having to move down the road to Dublin, but it made sense at the time for our commute and we were limited with places we could rent with cats. I have to admit I think we were lucky with our neighbors here I really can't complain.
The skillet is already pre-seasoned, but I know it takes on it's on character once you start doing your own food in there. One of the recipes I want to try is a cornbread cake that gets done on the outdoor grill that I'm going to save for Matt as I know his love of cornbread :) Thanks for the care tips on the skillet I will be sure to avoid soap, that sure sounds similar to my clay pot hehe.
